The NoNo Bag Mission

There’s no denying it, single-use disposable plastic bags are suffocating the planet! The need for change is upon us and it's all our responsibility to begin making small changes that will have a big impact. FSO created NoNo Bags to help join in the fight against single-use plastic bags.

The  NoNo Bags mission is to help YOU say “NoNo” to plastic bags once and for all. We empower you to take a more active role in combating single-use plastic bags by designing the most convenient, attractive, and durable handmade bags around.

Our bags are handmade with love in Thailand from upcycled materials leftover from making Flying Squirrel Outtifers hammocks - strong stuff. Each handmade reusable bag supports sustainable job creation and a fair living wage for “stay-at-home” seamstresses in rural Thailand.

We partner with organizations, businesses, and schools who share our mission by selling and co-branding our bags to begin helping individuals to eliminate single-use plastic bags. We offer products that empower people to take an active role in solving the single-use problem. We make bagging the single-use habit easy!

A recent report by the nonprofit Ocean Conservancy found that Thailand is one of the world's top-five plastic polluters, a group that includes China, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Together those countries are responsible for more than half of the 8 million metric tons of plastic trash that washes into the ocean annually.

But cleaning up plastic pollution in Thailand is a challenge due to cultural norms, infrastructure, and environmental obstacles, according to locals and expats working to address the issue.
